This year the Hydro-Electric sub-team will keep itself occupied with the heart of the car: the hydrogen fuel cell, and all of the electronics managing and storing the power coming from the cell. Last year the Hydro-Electric sub-team aimed to make the system more reliable and decent. This year will be all about optimisation of that system: making the systems more efficient whilst maintaining their reliability.
Hi, my name is Thomas Zeinstra. I am 21 years old and I’m a third-year student Applied Physics at the University of Twente. Since this programme was becoming more and more theoretical and because of my interest in sustainable energy I decided to join Green Team Twente for this year. This year I will be working in Green Team Twente as a member of the Hydro-Electric sub-team. Within the sub-team, I will be working mostly on the hydrogen system, searching for more efficiency and reliability. Furthermore, my goals are to improve on my practical skills and to obtain knowledge in the disciplines of my teammates.
Hey! My name is Rutger Kersjes. I’m a bachelor’s student Electrical Engineering and I am 21 years old. There are two main reasons that I joined Green Team Twente, the first is that I love to bring my ideas to life in various projects and Green Team gives me the chance to do this on a much larger scale than I can do at home or in my studies. The second is that I have always wanted to contribute in the transition of the world into using renewable resources and energy. Our hydrogen car at Green Team Twente is a good place to start!
Hi, my name is Yuki Nagatomo. I’m a 3rd year BSc Electrical Engineering student at the University of Twente. In my studies, I have interacted with electrical systems from a heavily theoretical approach. By joining Green Team Twente, I would like to further develop my practical skills by working on a large-scale multidisciplinary project, while utilizing my prior knowledge and experiences. Additionally, I’m passionate about the mission of the team and its contribution to sustainability. I’m excited and motivated to work with the team to make a more efficient hydrogen car this year.
