Renske Pijnenburg

Structural Chief

Hi, my name is Renske Pijnenburg and I am a third-year student Mechanical Engineering at the University of Twente. The first part of this year I will be a part time member of Green Team Twente, but after a few weeks I will fully focus on the structural aspects of the car. I am excited to build something with the knowledge I obtained during my study and I’m looking forward to broadening this knowledge with practical experience. And of course, I hope we will achieve the same victory (and even more) as the team of last year!

Structural Engineer

Hey! I am Florian, 21-years old and I just finished my bachelor Mechanical Engineering. I decided to join Green Team Twente, because I have been interested in the developments regarding hydrogen cars ever since my last year of secondary school. Besides being interested in the hydrogen aspect of the team, I consider Green Team as a great opportunity to further develop my skills in project-based working and on subjects that are not covered by the Mechanical Engineering programme. Together with the rest of the structural team, I expect to face a lot of challenges in the coming year, which will be a great learning experience for all of us. I am looking forward to contributing towards a more efficient hydrogen car to show the possibilities of hydrogen!

Structural Engineer

Hi! My name is Veerle Ellenbroek and I am a third years Applied Physics student at the University of Twente. This year I will be part of the Structural sub-team of Green Team Twente. We will rebuild the body of the car and focus on redesigning the internal structure. I see the team as an opportunity to further explore the mechanical side of physics, to gain more practical knowledge and further develop myself, while working together in a multidisciplinary team, full of enthusiastic people. Together we will further improve our car to contribute to the development of sustainable energy, and of course, to again win the Shell Eco Marathon!

Hi, my name is Dahnée Wojcik and I am an Applied Physics student at the University of Twente. In this third year of my study, I decided to take a gap year and challenge myself by being a part of Green Team Twente. My personal goal this year is to learn new skills that are not provided by my study and experience and learn what it is like to work within a large team. Furthermore, it would be a huge accomplishment for me to look back at this year, knowing I did everything I could to win the Shell Eco-Marathon and that I gave a contribution to the progress of hydrogen technology.

Hey, my name is Merit Fernhout. I’m in my third year of the study Mechanical Engineering at the University of Twente. I decided to join Green Team Twente, because I’ve always been interested in sustainability and want to help develop a more sustainable future. I see this year as a great opportunity to put the theory of my study into practice as part of the Structural sub-team. We are responsible for building a new body for the car. Furthermore, I’m excited to learn new skills and work together in a large group of enthusiastic students!
