Hey, my name is Tim Slangen and I just graduated from the Mechanical Engineering bachelor. After my study I was ready to apply the things that I learned in practice. I had heard from Green Team Twente and it proved the perfect match because the team offers a professional workspace where you can work with the latest technologies and combine this with the drive to promote hydrogen as an alternative energy storage. As Drivetrain Engineer, the other mechanics and I will be responsible for the suspension and drivetrain. I hope we can decrease the weight of the car even further and make the car more efficient.

Hey, I am Rachiel de Boer. I’m 21 years old and just graduated from my bachelor Mechanical Engineering. I joined Green Team Twente to apply the theory of engineering in practise, and work on a large-scale project in a multi-disciplinary team. With Green Team Twente I hope to expand knowledge in my field and develop further as a professional engineer. I will be a member of the Drivetrain sub-team, where we will design an as efficient as possible suspension and drivetrain. Green Team Twente is a project which has a major social relevance, to prove hydrogen is a viable energy storage medium, and I am proud to be a working on a more sustainable future.
Hello! My name is Michiel Bekkering and I am a member of the Drivetrain sub-team this year. I am 21 years old and I study Mechanical Engineering at Saxion University of Applied Sciences. I joined this team because I wanted to make a car and race with it. Besides that, I also think that hydrogen will be a big part of our future. I hope to gain more experience in designing suspensions as well as getting in contact with partners. I will do my best to make a lightweight and reliable drivetrain this year. Hopefully we will win the Shell Eco-Marathon again.
Hello! My name is Erwin Hofman. I first saw the Green Team at one of the open days, almost 5 years ago. Back then I was amazed at what a team of students could achieve. During my study of Industrial Design Engineering we did a lot of small projects that merely led to an idea or concept, but I wanted more. The idea of building our own working car with Green Team Twente appeals to me. Creating a car that is reliable and efficient, is both a test and a learning experience. I want to learn how to work in a large team and improve my mechanical engineering skills.
